Question Sorting out the standard alloys

As I usualy do I will soon be taking my alloys off for the winter and putting my standard 17's back on. I live on the coast which is salty anyway but when they put the grit down it's not the nicest stuff for your wheels. I've never touched them since I bought the car and they are kerbed and scratched from the previous owner.
I've decided I'm going to clean them up before I put them on but I can't decide if I'm going to paint them silver/black or maybe a different colour all together.
The car's black (See pic).
Anybody got any ideas?
Cheers, L17LED.

Haha, could paint them red and blue with flames and go all Optimus Prime. Even better, I'm gonna buy a truck! LOL
Seriously though, paints been ordered, on my next day off gonna give it a go. Using a white primer too, should make the black a little brighter and I wanna see how garish white wheels would look. LOL
Will take pics and do a new post.

w/e you do, dont get a gloss finish. itll look like junk using rattle can.

youll also need a primer sealer.

you can correct the curbage with bondo.

and you will also need to thoroughly sand down the rim so the paint will bond correctly.

if your only problem is curbage than you can repair only the lips, there are numerous how-tos online.
