It's been asked before, but looking through crap on this forum will take you forever. We actually suggest just asking questions in an entirely other thread. You'll see how quickly this thread will go off topic. The sparks are located under the coils.(I know that is common sense, but just in case) The coils and sparkplugs are located under the intake manifold.

speaking of off-topic (well, sort of), looks like we don't have the option of switching to spark plugs such as bosch iridium/platinums like these: http://www.boschautoparts.com/Produc...s/IrFusion.htm
has anyone tried anything other than the factory stuff, as unadviseable as it's said to be?

I don't see why we couldn't use em. As long as they're gaped correctly or you get the ones that you don't need to gap you should be ok.

well, the parts finder on the bosch site does not list any spark plug of theirs as suitable for the x...but if anyone has tried them that would be interesting to hear.

I apologize if this question has already been asked, but has anyone replaced their sparks. If so what is the easiest way to locate them.

If this question has been asked please provide a location for the answer.

Believe it or not, I went through the entire write-up you posted buck, and I thought it was a very well written one. I thought that the 3/8" fuel hose was very ingenious. I always barely put the spark-plug on the 3/8" socket with the rubber grommet, and then tighten it just enough to where I can pull the plug out without having the spark plug socket get stuck in.
