Default Speaker ???'s

The factory speakers on the right side (including tweeters) have very faint sound coming out. Even when I adjust the fade and balance. The left side and sub all play fine. Could the amp in the radio be bad or what? It's an 02 X w/ a tape deck which I am looking replacing with the factory cd player anyway. Would that solve my problem or could the problem be in the part above the tape/cd play portion (where the buttons and display are)? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it's the amp. You may have to remove the door panel and check connections first.

Is the amp in the radio or like on my Mustang where each speaker has its own amp?

Do you have the upgraded alpine system? Then the amp is in the trunk.

The base system doesn't have an amp if i remember correctly.

Does anyone know the specs of the "upgraded sound" amplifier?
