Smile Spoiler Installed on trunk lid

I found a spoiler on Ebay for $25 plus shipping, when it arrived I noticed it was made of rubber, dense rubber. I took it to the body shop I have done business with for over 20 years, he painted it and installed it today. I just got home got my trusty camera out and took some pictures. Here are a few. The best part the painting and installation the owner did for free. Click on image for a better look.

looks good, Adamesh makes something for an Estate but the cost is 250 - 300.00 and I'm not sure I like it although it would keep the back end cleaner I think.

I like it.

I bought mine on Ebay. It was $79 and came painted to match. Looks very similar, although I think mine is a bit longer.

Mine came unpainted, and it was also long, too long about 1/4 inch on either side. I mentioned it is made of rubber. After it was painted and baked, baked because it was rubber. The body shop owner mounted it 3/4 inch from the edge of the trunk lid and it fit perfectly, closer to the edge it over hung by the 1/4 inch I mentioned above.

Yes that is the same thought I had after it was installed. I found some pics online of later model X cars with these spoilers and they look, like mine, like it is suppose to be there.
