Sport Mode light does not come on

Sport Mode light does not come on

I have a X-Type 3.0L 2004 Jag. On pressing the sport mode switch "S", the red light does not come on. Why? Can anybody help!

Funny, Mine wont go out! Cant seem to get an answer for it. Maybe we should introduce our cars to each other.
