Spot Welds on X-Type Sills

Hi

Hope someone can help, I have just been to view a 53 plate X-Type (never been in one before) and noticed a couple of spot welds on the rear sills, visible when the doors are open - is this part of the normal build of an X-Type ?

What's a 53 plate..?

Sorry, 53 plate means a late 2003 UK car.

I'm afraid I can't take a picture I have returned home from viewing.

If you own an X-Type are there any visible welds on the rear sills when the doors are open?

I think I might just have view another to compare.
