Starting Problem :(
Hey guys,
New issue on my x-type that is becoming extremely frustrating to fix. Hopefully one of you genesis can help me out before I give it to Jaguar to fix.
When i start the car i hear the starter clicking, it sounds like its trying to turn but cant. I replaced the starter, and it started working for a while(five days) then i got the same issue. I then returned and replaced the starter once more. After five days the same issue came back.
I had the battery tested, Autozone said it was good. On my multi-meter i have a reading of 12.65v, sometimes it dips a bit low (12.45v). I then put a jumper cable from the starter solenoid + and the battery +, i still got the same starting issue (the starter is clicking, trying to turn, then it stops).
Is there anything else i can check?

Luis, humor me and try running a jumper cable from the negative post of the battery to the engine block. Then try to start the car. If that works, then you have a bad negative battery cable.
