Default headlamp adjusters

hi newbie to forum
love my x-type, but just been bitten at mot, new sills, rear trailing arm bushes, new rear tyres as a result and n/s headlamp out of alignment. cmae to look at headlamp and one adjuster broke, left to right adjustment i think.
does anyone know of a temp repair that might get me through the mot retest as after all the other work i cant afford a replacement headlamp unit at the moment and the retest on Monday. Any help would be greatly appreciated

boatman, first off, welcome to the forums. You will find lots of useful information here. But, we do ask that you stop by the New Member Section and introduce yourself. We pride ourselves in being a different type of car group and as a result, we like to get to know one another. This also gives you a chance to meet those that make this place what it is.

As for your problem, take a look on e-bay and they sell replacement adjusters on there with the associated gears (not all of the kits come with the gears, so, make sure that they specifically call out that it includes the gears). It will probably set you back about 35 euro, but much cheaper than getting a whole new headlight assembly.

There is a product called plastex plastic repair which may do the job.
