I have the 2004 jaguar x type 3.0 and I need to change my tps. I can't find.one anywhere! Should I try to get one from the scrap yard or what? I don't have the money to go buy a whole new throttle body. I'm 18 and a mother to a 1 year old! My jag was Givin to me from my mom paid off so I couldn't complain. Anyone else have this problem? I have seen post were some people finding one or finding one That is the same one but goes to a diff car! Please help.

How do you know it's the TPS ?

 

I took it to a tranny shop that my boyfriend works for and they looked at it for free. Ended up pullin the tps code and they said they couldn't do anything cuz they only do trannys. I've also tried to clean it with that spray stuff and I still have this problem!

Cheapest I found that might work, and it should just be plug-and-play meaning you remove and replace it and you're good to go as per this site

Thank you so much! Why is the eBay one so cheap? Makes.me think something is wrong with it I would love to get it that cheap ! But would you trust it?

 

If it was me, I would buy it! If it's bad, you just contact the seller and send it back! The best part about ebay is their buyer protection policy which means if anything is wrong with the order, ebay automatically backs the buyer and makes it so the buyer must be happy. The thing is that buying a used one will probably give it less life in the long run, but for 15% of the price of a new one, I would take that risk. I have bought many xtype parts off of ebay for ridiculous prices (brake caliper for $25 free shipping) and have never had a problem!
