Had the 03 plate 3.0 sport 2 weeks and still think it's great however we have discovered that with air con on (non auto type) and fan speed high the car fills with a smell like rotten eggs , my question is will a simple re - gas fix this or is it something more sinister lurking behind the dash ?

You may need a re-gas if it isn't chilling sufficiently but to clear the smell you need to use an air con cleaner.

It's not chilling either , found a vid on you tube on the pollen filter so will change this aswell I think ....
