Hey you guys. Here's another newbie for ya.

3.0L manual 115K
Under hard acceleration (usually in 3rd gear 3500rpms) my car makes this crackling metal to metal sound similar to low oil valves tapping. Changed motor oil, tranny gear oil, and tc gear oil but still getting the noise. I'm thinking could be the timing guides? My timing chain does have small minor pits on top.

Has anyone else experience this? What could be the problem?

Sounds like your timing chain is on its way out of the timing tensioner is all messed up.
