Whenever Im taking off slowly when I just start the car, for example when pulling out from a space, my X makes a strange noise. It's similar to a howl. I should upload a sound clip but it's somethin like "whhhhoooooo". It's not a prolonged noise, but this is the only time I hear it.

I'm thinking it's something related to the drivetrain. Any ideas?

 

Thats a good point Hong mentions..Hand Brake will sometime let go a little harder went they have been set for a while.

 

My 06 did this. First I changed the rear pads, and, that got rid ofsome of the noise. Then I asked my dealer to change the rear suspension bushings per one of the Jag tech bulletins, and, that eliminated it totally. Mine howled so loud that it sounded like a rail car stopping.
