Strut and Shock Replacement Help

jagnut, just to state the obvious, when doing the front struts, make sure you have a spring compression tool handy. You will need that to take up the load of the front springs so you don't hurt yourself when you undo the nut on the top of the strut. TRUST ME!!!!!! I learned that one the hard way. Also make sure that after doing the struts that you get an alignment done.
As for brand, can't help you there. Dealing with my truck, most guys have been very happy with Bilstien shocks and I am sure that they will give you what you are after. I found them for our jags. They come in 2 flavors, comfort and heavy duty. I am assuming you are looking at the heavy duty. The heavy duty ones will run you $656 for a set of 4. Check out http://www.eshocks.com and look up part numbers VE3-5149-H0 (front) and BE5-6676-H0 (rear). I'm not saying that eshocks.com is the cheapest place or am I saying that I recommend them, but that is a shock brand that I would look at and it gives you an idea of the price that is being asked.
