Stumbling In
My X-Type has a slight flat spot on initial acceleration. It almost feels like there is a worn area in a potentiometer?
The car currently has a P1000 code (o2 sensors readiness incomplete) and no CEL illuminated, I'm hesitant to reset the codes or pull fuse 32 at this time due to waiting for the drive-cycle to complete (after a few months and close to 500-miles the evap system readiness completed last week).
Any thoughts? My first instinct is to clean the throttle body once the P1000 code clears.
TIA BK
2007 X-Type
3.0/AT
71K miles
California
Always filled with good quality 91 octane

MAF needs cleaning or getting ready to crap out? I know after chasing a singular p171 (only) code for quite some time (w/no vacuum leak), I replaced my MAF & noticed a significant change in acceleration and general performance that had gradually diminished. It had been so gradual that having it run pretty near perfect again was very noticeable especially on acceleration from any speed (stopped, in-town, freeway) including a before sorta, kinda, hesitation while accelerating.
Your drive cycle on emissions seems unusually long. My reset (see thread on leak in rubber hose leading to gas tank causing emissions failure) took about 50 miles to clear from reset to clearing after repair. The O2 reset in about 30 miles.
