Hello fellow Jag-gers,

I have a 2004 x-type, 3.0,AWD... problem lately is that the sun/moon roof switch only works if I push the close position...open does not operate. in other words its one continous movement...it will open the vent, then close, then open fully and if I don't release the switch, this will go on forever...any comments (please keep the stupid ones to yourself...I've heard them all...LOL).

I had this same problem and thought there was something terribly wrong with my sunroof so I never fixed it until just a little while ago. What you are going to want to do is hold the close button down until it cycles fully through all the sunroof functions (vent, open, closed) it will stop when it's fully cycled. If you do this twice, it reprograms the sunroof module. An easier way to look at it is just holding down the close button for 20 seconds x2. Hopefully that helps.
