t-stat n fan change
tford, the thermostat is really a 2 part thing. You have the mechanical piece that controls the engine temp, and then you have an electronic sensor that feeds the information to the computer. The mechanical thermostat is down between the radiator and the motor slightly to the driver's side of the car near the center of the car. If you follow the coolant hose that runs in the area, you will see a black plastic piece in the center of the hose. that is the thermostat that controls the engine temp.
As for removing the fan, you will need to first remove the plastic tray that is under the radiator. Then you will need to drain out the coolant and disconnect both hoses. You will then need to disconnect the plug on the fan control module. From there, if I remember right, there are 2 bolts on the bottom of the radiator in the corner that you need to under which will then allow you to pull the radiator from the car. This will also pull the e-fans with the radiator.

tford, if you need some help, let me know. I'm about 2 hours north of you. If you need a "jag specialist", I'm here. Granted, I am by no means a Jag Specialist, I am simply someone that has a love for his Jag. I have all the tools that we would need.
Not to ask a silly question, but, why are you removing the radiator? These radiators are normally pretty good and don't develop leaks. Not to say that it can't, but what makes you think you need to pull the radiator. I am only asking to possibly save you some time/effort.
