Default Are these reasonable service prices?

As recommended in this topic I created earlier (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=41239), I went ahead and checked with my local specialist shop for pricing on a couple things. I was just wondering if you guys thought these were reasonable prices. All prices include parts and labor.

Replace Coolant/Thermostat $285
Replace MT fluid/Transfercase Fluid $165
Lube/Oil/Filter $73.85
Fuel Filter Replacement $104

Thanks guys!

I have a few recent estimates last week straight from a Jaguar dealer for similar issues. Of course, I'm doing them all myself because the prices are ridiculous.

Cooling System Flush / no new thermostat: US$225

Transmission Flush / not the transfer case: $250

$74 for an oil change with k&n and synthetic oil is good.

A fuel Filter is $10. $104 for a filter change seems steep.

Seems high to me..

I have never replaced the thermostat *knocking on wood* but it seems high just to replace it and drain and fill the cooling system.

Manual trans fluid, transfer case fluid. Dealer did my manual trans $75, local jaguar garage did my transfer case and rear diff/oil change for $150

Oil change: Dealer was $67, local jaguar garage $54.99

Fuel Fliter: Not sure..

Probably about right, the oil change if it includes the oil is standard, the transfer case and transmission change is worth it if you do a search here. Both jobs are a biotch.
I don't know where the fuel filter is so maybe that's a bit steep unless it's an in tank job then you're getting a deal.

puralator makes a fuel filter for our x's. its about 10 bucks. changing it is about a 5 min job. all you need is a ten mm socket and a small ratchet. the fuel lines on both sides of the filter clip on and off by depressing the blue buttons on the clip. 104 is a little bit high.

Stevis05, do you know if the filtering quality of the Puralator filter is good enough to safely use in a Jag? I also have noticed the dramatic price difference between a couple of popular brands for my 2002 XJ8 and the more esoteric brands my Jag dealer and independent Jag mechanic use.
