heheh, well, tough choice of course, but the saab has more similarity in character to the audi than does the x, so i understand your logic there. i like the saab too, though...

yea, they are pretty. But all german cars today seemengineered to becold, and with no personality. Built by machines for machines. Great ergonomics, features and all, but where's the human element, the character and elegance? Maybe its just me.

To me the audi and saab are great cars but they lack that "hey look at me, I'm an audi or saab" the way the jags do, and the way the new beemers do as well. Performance wise and reliability, the are great cars though!

true, but at least the audis and saabs are decent to look at. you won't find an ugly audi or saab easily.
almost all the bmw's say "look at me! i'm ugly!" the least offensive one is the new 3 series, but even that one
is compromised compared to the "wow" factor of bmw's in the 80s and 90s
this brutal design language bmw uses will have no future, it's a phase i think.

It's funny, because I happen to like the new BMW's. I think that their style is unique, like they usually are, and I LOVELOVELOVE the new 3 series.

somekids is right audi's are so cold and "built by machines for machines". The CFO of my company just bought the S8 and its a huge beast. inside its like cold and very technical. the seat are like sitting in butter and all the gauges are a computer nerds dream, butt there is no passion or feeling.
no denying that if you get the A6 your are buying amasing performance and handling and superior quality butit wont make you walk out to your garage at night just to look at it and touch it.
As for BMW's i love the way the 3 coupes look but theykilled the 5 and the 6 andareassed-out ugly.
how come your not looking at another jag like the S-type like Bigdraems?

I think the new bmw's are sweet. Yes the rear end needs some tweaking but the overall appeal is good. Not that it matters though because I'd never buy any! By the time I would want to buy one after it drops below 20k the car has already been molested and theres no way to get one under warranty! My boss was rich and she still wouldn't buy a bmw. She laughed in the sales guys face when he told her how much a lease would be on a x5. She eventually bought a infiniti and once this lease is up she said she'd be going back to gmc's.

Especially when those 3.8's are like the ultimate reliable engines well beyond 200k miles! We've had 3 3.8's in our family that got well over 200k miles before being sold. My buddy sold his 94 bonneville with like 220k miles. My ford flareside had 220k when I sold it! Here's a link to it...

Wanna see some american muscle go to page 3! That 360r was the freaking loudest car i've heard in person! No cats with x-pipe and flowmasters with supercharger....ooooohhhhhhh man!

My monte carlo is here

My dad has 5.7L v8 in his 87 firebird GTA and it has 130K, but my neighbors firebird just like my dads has 250K miles on it and it sounds like a beast!

Personally I love the Audi and the BMW, 5 series for me it would be..well, unless I had serious money then it would be a 635 coupe probably.......relaibel and solid.
I really like the looks of the A6 and the proportions of it, its stance and big twin pipes at he back.........mmmmm
Not so keen on the retro styling of the S type Housegroove, just not for me.
I'll be really sorry to see the Saab go I gotta admit.............but, onwards n upwards

Jim
