Question Threaded Hole in Cylinder Head

New Jag owner here. We just got the car and while replacing all the spark plugs I notices oil around all the plugs on the bank closest to the front of the car. Looking through the hole left once the coil is removed for cylinder 6 (I believe) I can see this threaded hole. Is this suppose to be plugged? I just want to be sure before I replace the gaskets if this needs to be plugged I rather take care of it at the same time.

Thank you!

I'm not sure, but I think it's the hole where the plug is in this pic. This is the RH bank, yours is the LH bank, but I assume they're similar...

I removed the valve cover to fix a leaking inner gasket around the plugs. The hole bottoms out about 1" down. I guess it was used for another application. Thanks for looking into it!
