Default " Threw A Rod "

I have a beautiful 02 X - Type Sport 3.0, I'm 23 years young it was My First Car Ever I've had it for about 10 months. When I received the Car it was Around 75000 miles, I'm Around 96000 now So my warranty is up & I'm Also Recently Financing the Car. But recently I was Told I " Threw A Rod " in my engine and need a whole new one and before I give the Car back, have it treated as a repo and mess up my credit because I can't afford to pay the loan off in full now I was Wondering if there was anything affordable I can do, or if maybe someone can help me out finding a new reliable engine?

I'm Not far from Harrisburg but I can't move it or had anyone look @ it yet but when I start it, it makes a loud knocking noise in the engine

the nice thing about the X is it will take any year engine from another X regardless of size so the 2.5 or the 3.0 will fit
you can also use a Lincoln ls engine if you switch some parts.
there is a very useful post on this.

Don't know if the engine is still in it by now, but Harry's has a 2003 in the yard up by Hazelton for a few weeks now. If you can pull an engine, that is a good way to get one for 'cheap'.

Nope, the computer will adjust to the new motor with nothing needed to be done other than reconnecting all the wiring. Slap it in there and enjoy the new motor.

Jaccie, if you need any other parts let me know. I am only about 90 min from you.
Any questions or other parts I can help. Just hope the engine you got is good. Harrys sells a lot of bad stuff.

Good luck,
The Dr!
