Okay, here's a kinda dumb question.

I have a 2007 X-Type which did not come with the TPMS. However, the 2008 did. So, would anyone know if the car may have come set up already with the system where I would just need to install the sensors on each wheel? Everytime I checked into the differences in the Aruba wheels, the parts department folks always refer to the ones on my cars as the ones with the TPMS. If this is the case, what type of monitoring system does the car use...banded on the wheel or the valve stem type?

I have a 2003 X-Type fitted with Jaguar 18" Indianapolis wheels, these wheels also have concealed valves.

I assume some form of TPMS would be appropriate for this car... otherwise I'll need to screw in a valve at each wheel - just to simply check the tyre pressure (I hope not)

Therefore, if such a system is already fitted - (like yourself) I would be keen to learn about this also.

ANYBODY OUT THERE - Got the answers ???

Jaguar seems to be of little or no help on this issue. I have an '08, fitted with a sensor system. When I gave Jag the VIN # to find out the frequency of the sensors/receiver they told me my car didn't come with a sensor system. Arg. I hope someone on the forum can help us.
