TR Sensor adjustment tool

TR Sensor adjustment tool
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had a Transmission Range Sensor adjustment tool (307-445) that I could barrow? I know this is a weird thing I'm asking. I don't have the $100 for the tool, and I only need it for a few minutes, to get my TR sensor adjusted correctly. I can't really pay anything, but I would appreciate it.
OR
If anyone knows how to adjust these sensors without the tool could you please speak up...?

Error I'm getting,
I'm getting error "P1780. D-4 SWITCH MALFUNCTION". I had to play around with the shift linkage and had to take out the TR sensor to get the transmission in manual 2nd gear to reinstall the Valve body and get the manual valve to sit correctly, (once I was done rebuilding that), now I'm getting that error.
The two troubleshooting steps I'm going to be focused on are, shift linkage adjustment and TR sensor adjustment (I disconnected them both). I can do the shift linkage by myself, but need that special tool for the TR sensor adjustment.

Looking at the JTIS directions for this alignment, it would seem that even with the tool it's a bit of a hit or miss business. Otherwise they wouldn't have written
If the J-Gate shift selector does not illuminate in all positions repeat the complete procedure.Make sure the vehicle starts in the 'P' and 'N' positions and that it does not start in the R, D, 4, 3 and 2 positions, and that the J-Gate shift selector illuminates in all positions.
You'll be just as well off using trial and error IMO! A helper to keep trying the selector as you adjust it would probably speed the process up.

Fixed it!
I turned the sensor all the way counter clock-wise and started moving it back 1/16 of an inch until it started in Park and Neutral, then started shifting gears and once it lit up all the gears I stopped. Only took me about 20 minutes. Thanks so much to Astromorg for explaining that to me.
