Hi,
I’m used to drive my grandpa’s 2001 Jaguar X-Type and I’ve always wondered if she has a fixed traction control or not because there’s not the button to deactivate it. Some days ago, on a wet road, I was pushing and the car started losing control and powersliding. Fortunately or not I was able to correct the trajectory and I realized and I have to say it was fun. But one question came to my mind. At that moment I didn’t see any DSC light turning on.
The question is: Does the 2001 X Type 2.5 AWD have a pre-set traction control or not ?

 

 

Your particular car does not have DSC. If it did there would be a button where the coin slots are.

You're welcome. Be careful out there. Either you were going way too fast for the conditions or the tires are very worn.Even with DSC it can only do so much. Enjoy!
