Hi All

I have a 2004 X type Estate wagon and will be using it occasionally to pull my single bike trailer

I have the hitch in place and was looking at the wiring, did the wiring on my XJ8 with no problem as the trailer has LED lights so no real extra draw to confuse the computer, but looking at the wiring for the X type it is very thin and the owners manual says that there is a special hook up for the wiring.

My question is can I just splice the wiring as I did for the XJ8 or do I need the special unit?
