Summary :
In 2002 Jaguar Cars, as part of the Premier Automotive Group (PAG) group, entered into a strategic business co-operation with Castrol Oils for a minimum period of five years. This agreement provides the opportunity to work closely in conjunction with Castrol, in order to optimize our engine and transmission performance within both the Jaguar and Land Rover products.

Under this agreement, Jaguar Cars fully endorse the use of Castrol lubricants, where compatible, as a re-fill oil for the range of vehicles shown above, and is progressively developing the use of Castrol as the factory fill lubricant for both current & future products.

Cause : Approved Service Lubricants and fluids under the Castrol/Jaguar agreement.
Action : Jaguar"s long-term strategy for lubricants and fluids is to further develop the strong relationship with Castrol. Castrol have the experience and technology to support Jaguar during the continuation in improvements to the performance of Jaguar vehicles. This bulletin includes a comprehensive tables of lubricants and fluids currently recommended for all Jaguar vehicles. The tables provide supplier details, technical specifications and viscosity details for all vehicles. Castrol products MUST be used where possible.




Service Information
CAUTION : Always use the recommended lubricant or fluid. If these products are not available then the engineering specification for the specific unit must be adhered to at all times.

NOTE : The appropriate use of Jaguar recommended lubricants and fluids is subject to warranty audit.


Jaguar is constantly working with Castrol to ensure that a complete range of lubricants and fluids will be available in the near future.

1 . Refer to the attached table for the correct lubricant for the unit or system.

NOTE : Use Castrol engine oils meeting viscosities 0W-30, 0W-40, 5W-30 (preferred) or 5W-40 and with the specifications listed below.
