Default Transfer case has gotta go!

So the dealership has it out...going to pay them for that and going to pick it up!

i need detailed instructions on how to do this job myself. In my garage on jackstands. I am putting it in myself. Might have found one for $250 out of a low mile car. I guess the guy does not know any better

Just a suggestion, but I think you'd be better off to take them the used t/c and let them re-assemble it. Not trying to be a smartass, but if you need detailed instructions to assemble something of that magnitude that you didn't take apart to begin with....... 2 strikes going in!

Rudy... I just like having instruction to assure everything is correct as far as seal and torque procedure. If it can be fixed or replaced... I can do it! If I can rebuild a motor and part of a transmission and put it back in my truck I am sure the transfer case will be no trouble at all.

I plan to run an active fluid change device on the transfer case as well. Once I see what I am working with I will let everyone know what I came up with. I have a good idea of what to do now and it should work awesome! Also will be looking for a spot to place a temperature probe in the tcase to monitor it better.

I might be able to do this for the drain and fill mechanism. I will not be though for the install of the T/c unless i have extra time. I will try and see what i can do. It just takes a lot of time to wash up to take pics and notes.
