Dear all,

Having a 2002 X type 2.5 for 4 years (100.000 km) and incidentally I am smelling burned oil when I am standing still with the car. I took a look under
the car and saw a very small oil leakage at the front right drive shaft at the transfer case which occasional drips on the exhaust. It's definitely TC oil and about half a year ago (4000km back) I changed the oil in the transfer case with the help of this excellent forum .
Can it be due an overfill of the TC (dripping via the air exhaust of the TC) or is it the half shaft seal which is bad and probably is difficult to replace because of the half shaft removal and internal seal problems and so. Can somebody advice me what to do?
