Default Unattached wire??

Hi, wondered if anyone can help? My n/side side light went the other day so today I removed the battery to change the bulb. One I lifted the battery out I notice a small cable and plug under it. I have no idea where it is supposed to go or what it should attach to and there doesn't appear to be anything in the area it should attach to.
The only thing that I can think of that isn't working on the car is the drivers side headlamp automatic leveler (adjusters have gone) and the front parking sensor, everything else works fine! It goes into the loom just behind and below the rear of the battery (pic 2 the loom with white label on it).I've taken a picture of it and hope someone can shed some light on where it should go

That is nothing to worry about. That was used for a battery tender when the car was shipped new. It does nothing now.

There should be a small tab on the bottom of the battery box that you can attach it to. It keeps it from flopping around. It is just a small piece of protruding plastic.
