Default Used 2006 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 AWD

Used 2006 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 AWD I am thinking about buying this car for $4000. Does this seem like a good deal. The car has had one owner, and it is in mint condition.

It would always be wise to have a service log available for the car.

It could be a good deal, it could be a big mistake. Impossible to say without knowing more about the car.

When you say it is in "mint" condition? How do you define that? One owner, no accidents? No body work done, car runs perfect, known service history, inspected by a trusted mechanic, etc? Or are you just saying it looks very clean on the outside and inside?

Although these cars have a few minor quirks inherent in them, they are pretty reliable cars if maintenance has been kept up. By 2006 the bugs in the early models had been sorted out. The best suggestion I can give you is do a search on here on the very topic you asked about and start reading some of the threads and you will get a very good understanding of what to look for. This forum is a great resource if something does go wrong with a lot of helpful friendly people willing to help.

Selling price looks about average.

I shop months, price good if mileage below 90k, normal up to 120k, high if over 120k.
I shop east 1/3 USA.
1 owner is very nice.

I bought mine with 170,000 miles on it and it runs fine. Offer him less and then if it blows up on you you can just walk away. Any new car will drop $4,000 of value in the first month you own it.

AS you information we still don't know the mileage, if the car have 2 set of keys, complete owner books, that's a good sight, I bought may used cars included 3 X-Type, very seldome to have service log, have a test drive on all road conditions, how it's ride and steering? Check oil condition, oil leak? Brake feeling and fluid? Coolant should be orange. Any warning light on? If every things in working order and under 100K/m it's a good buy for that MY. But it's 12years old car, any thing can happen any time, so follow by your instint.
