Not that I am aware,
Same "Family" o engines, agreed.
Looking at my S Type 3ltr, and my X Type, and MANY things are located differently, some quick noticed items are:
Water pump
Oil filter
Throttle body, manifold laout.
Engine mounts.
NOT saying its not do-able, but oh boy, lots of little traps me thinks.

I know they are both AJ30 engines, but beyond that "I know nothing"! (Sargent Schultz voice from Hogan's Heros).
Your better chance if looking for a perhaps better buy (vs Jag) is a Lincoln LS. There is a very comprehensive detailed explanation of this engine put into an X. Just do a search in this forum to read how he has done it more than once.

X type engine is mounted transversely (sideways), as in a front drive car, like the Mondeo it's based on. S type is mounted longitudinally (lengthwise), as it is a rear wheel drive car.. To swap these engines from an X to an S , or vice versa, would create all sorts of nightmares, with transaxle, etc. I wouldn't say "impossible" but would take a lot better mechanic than me, as well as some major modifications.
