Default Derek S - first time signing up

Hi everyone. I'm Derek, from a little bit outside Glasgow in Scotland.

I'm currently on my third Jaguar and have previously managed to get lots of help by reading these forums without ever signing up and posting. On this occasion, I need a little help diagnosing a problem so I thought I'd sign up and post details.

Right now I have a 2006 X-type estate with a 2.5 litre petrol engine.

Welcome to the forum Derek,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds as if you're already found you way to the model technical forum but if not, follow this link X-Type ( X400 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link UK & Eire - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Thanks. Yes, I've gone over to that forum and posted details of my problem. It's a problem with the heating and it's winter in Scotland, so I should have added, in the words of Mark Watney, I am being "slowly killed by the laws of thermodynamics."
