Default Vacuum Tube

Anyone know the Jaguar official name for the the vacuum tube so I can look it up online? Dealer noted on my last visit that it's leaking from intake to fuel pressure regulator and would need changing eventually. I'm obviously gonna do it myself, but I can't find the part without the official name.

the vacuum tube that you are referring to could be a load of different vacuum tubes that are on the xtype. Can you extrapolate a little bit so we can help you further?

I wish I can elaborate, but the service rep just gave me a sheet with things that I should replace. If anyone can direct me to the vicinity of the part, I can look around to see which exact part it is.

Ok, this is a complete shot in the dark, but I would go check your brake booster hose. It looks like this: http://www.captainjaguarscathouse.co...s/C2S17522.JPG

The plastic part tends to get broken down and will start to leak. Mine was so far worn down that if started throwing P0171 and P0174 codes. I fixed it by sealing the old plastic valve with epoxy and it has held up great.

Hopefully that's your problem because that's where most vacuum leaks come from.

Thanks for the tip. I'll take a look at it this weekend. Yeah, the dealer said it's a matter of time before I start getting some codes popping up.

Jeez, that looks like something to be used in a medical procedure.

Hope disguay has identified the part your X-Type needs.

Thanks for the info guys and the link to the post with the parts. I was "attempting" to work on my car's front suspension all weekend and neglected to look into this issue. Will do today. I'll post back with update.
