voice activation system

I pressV.A. button on steering column, "MUTE ON" displays on radio face. Am I suppose to hit the PHONE button to clear it and will it enable the V.A. system? I just purchase a 2005 X-Type. First time Jag owner. thanks

Read your owners manual..But yes, that mutes the radio so you can talk on the phone (if equiped)..But I don't know about the VA part.

it sounds like you do not have the voice option on your Jaguar.

the jag usa website has the manuals for audio & bluetooth available in pdf format. On eof them deals with the va system, I think.
