Default Water ingress

Hi folks, I'm new here so be gentle .
I have a 2006 X-Type 2.0D SE, very nice car, but I have a major problem with water in the NS rear foot well, I can't see anywhere obvious that the water is comming in from, however, so I went to my local main dealer for investigation of the problem, they quted me to remove the seats, carpets etc for £500 and not guarantee finding the problem, i need some advice please, I have checked the door drainage points but cant find the screen ones, can anyone help please before I drown......

not sure what NS is but on my car on the LH drivers side there was moisture, had the dealer water test it and turned out to be leaking through the windscreen seal. But look for the emergency brake cable where it passes through the firewall, that seems to be a commen area too. Also check under the plastic piece that is between the hood and the windscreen, crap piles in and plugs the drain holes and that leaks as well.

Maybe go to a car stereo shop, they are better at ripping interiors apart.

If it were me, with just a couple of bolts, the seat comes out. Then unclip the plastic doorsill trim, pop up the rear seat cushion and you can pull back the carpet in half the car.
Sheesh 500 quid and I could have the work done in 15 minutes..

At last a resolution..the problem was on the bottom of the windscreen there is a clip strip which the exterior plastic cover clips too, this aids the water flow away from the car. The strip had become detached, water was then running under it straight into the pollen filter and into the car.

Please note, when you have a service of air-con re-gas, the cover has to be removed, if you are not carefull with the removal of the cover, you will break this seal and the problem will manifest itself.
