Default Water inside the driver door

I have been noticing that when my car is parked in slope the rain water gets inside the driver side door. As soon as I open the door these collected water flows out at the bottom corner. Would this cause any issue with corrosion inside ? do I need to get this tested at a mechanic?

Thanks for any of your valuable inputs.

sudeip, I would first try opening up the drain holes in the bottom of your door. It is possible something has gotten inside the door and is blocking the holes and it is making it so the water can not drain out properly.

As for causing issues to the body, water is designed to flow through the door. As long as the water is not sitting in one place for a long period of time, it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks Chris. I will check this out and see if anything is blocking the drain holes.
