Coralkong, considering that a bodykit was fitted as standard to some X-Types, I don't think that constitutes as too much of a sacrilege. Especially since the commonly-available X-Type bodykits are rather restrained, and even the Arden rear spoiler (seen in the 2nd photo) blends in very well to the shape of the boot lid. A casual observer might not even realize the car has one.
However, all of these mods come at a Jaguary premium.

I would put on a body kit if an aftermarket company produced an affordable one (but get it professionally painted). I think body kits look cool but with this car I think you are going to be paying $2000 just for a rather subtle looking one. In my opinion, I think you would be better off putting that money into other things, engine, suspension, wheels, stereo, etc., unless you are really going for a show car.
