Us canadian don't bitch about the cold much but, after my terrible rugby game in the rain -6 celcuis weather. I decided to sit in my car and crank the heat, NOT on defrost mode, and the odd thing is, there would be hot air coming for 30s and then a burst of cooler air, then hot and so on. Not when it switched to the cooler, it sounded like the fan was working harder. Any ideas, there apparently a door that messes up, i have a feeling it is this.

 

Sounds like the recirculate fan was kicking on when it switched to cool? Might have a flap issue.... I think jimmy has something on this somewhere on the forum....

 

Could it have been in auto and maybe the air conditioner kicked in because of all the moisture inside the car? Was it on recirculate? Maybe the a/c kicked in to remove the humidity. You did say you just came in from the rain. Might be normal.

 

That's a good thought Alfa, could have been entirely normal with that much humidity in the car. Nice!

 

It was humid, outside, teh maserati behind me got destroyed by a wave, but, the ac was off, auto was off, and recirculate was off.
