What brand headlights are you using?
It's time to replace the headlight bulbs. Which bulbs are you guys using? I was thinking about the Silverstars Ultra or the Nokya. I really dont have much experience with either brand. I have used PIAA in the past on my motorcycles, and love those bulbs. I just want to try something different in the Jag.
Thansk for your advice.
Oh, by the way I could have combined my two posts, but I read somewhere that you guys are trying to bring up the post count. Here's alittle help from a Newbie.

everybodys got their own preference, but I think we all agree that unless you got Xenons the light output is terrible ( ie- you cant see where you're goin in the dark)
I've replaced mine with sportzblue 80w/100w H1's in the dipped beam / main beam and the fogs with blue tinted PIAA 501 sidelights. The output is amazing ( if not street legal) and some say the wiring loom cant handle it and others say it can. All I know is I've come outta the dark and into the LIGHT!
I've been runnin them for two weeks now with no problems at all.
Cheers

Hey x-type 750 I have tried to use sylvania silverstars in my dims but they blew out after only minutes. I tried 4 pairs and ended up taking them back and ordering a set of xenon brand lights-they are not xenon bulbs they are just a brand called xenon. They are filled with 60% xenon gas vs. halogen. These bulbs just recently blew. The only bulb I can keep inside the car working are the stock sylvania halogen bulbs. I will eventually get a set of xenon full headlamps off of ebay sooner or later.

Hey Jim I was asking because when I bought my sylvania silverstars and compared them to regular sylvania $7 bulbs the coil/filament inside the bulb is thinner in the more expensive silverstars. In my regular sylvanias they are a tad thicker. I am using this as my excuse as to why the bulbs kept blowing... Its the only other thing that could explain it as I have already used deductive reasoning and found that the regular bulbs work fine and don't blow at all...Could be those lovely quirks we all talk about or at least I always talk about!
