I normally watch car commercials just to be disappointed that they will never offer a manual transmission or all wheel drive. When I saw the commercial for the new ats, i saw all four wheels spinning which got me hopeful. I researched it and it looks like they will be selling it with all wheel drive and the option of a manual transmission, not to mention the incredibly tuned 2.0t. I personally think this might be the replacement for my x-type in about 4-5 years, but I was wondering if anyone else had an opinion about it one way or the other.

Note: I didn't put this in the general discussion because I think this is more directed at owners of x-types vs all jaguar owners.

It's hard to have an opinion on something that isn't available to the general public yet......... Anything can look cool in a commercial, that doesn't mean it is in real life (example: Kia Optima superbowl commercial)

 

I agree it looked good on the commercial but to me it looks like a pretty chevy cruze. Like the optima, it looks nice but thats not the important thing. Need to drive it and look at the reliability.

 

I was just checking if anyone else had noticed the potential this car has to be better than just your average sports sedan. I personally think that there are really only a few all wheel drive sports cars to choose from outside of the normal audi, vw, and subaru which is why this one caught my eye. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who noticed it!
