Default What do you think of these Rotors and Pads?

Hi,
I need to put some new rotors and pads on the front of my 2004 xType. I am not very mechanical and have a shop that I use. I came across this eBay listing for rotors and ceramic pads. It's a real deal compared to my quote of $107pads and $197rotors.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on this listing from someone who knows something about parts/brakes.

Thanks for your help!

To me they look fine. After checking out the seller for yourself online, and satisfying yourself that the seller is OK, the parts themselves look as good as others, except maybe super high-end gear like Brembo or something. I personally paid far more for rotors and ceramic pads for my XJR (cross drilled and grooved), though for all four corners, and I'm more than happy with them, having only had to lock them up once. My experience is that they perform better than the OEM parts I removed. I scoured the old black caked on brake dust off my stock rims when I changed everything out, and the wheels are still clean after six months. I like ceramic pads for that reason. Some will say that they don't feel as positive as regular brake pads, but I don't notice that. Maybe 'bed' them in properly though...

I wouldn't do it. Many of these places buy cheap bulk rotors from china and drill them in house and send them to you. You'll wonder why they are warped in 3 months. You get what you pay for.
