Two strange sounds when engine is off
2004 X type 3.0....... When my motor is off, there is an extremely faint sound coming from what appears to be that tiny circular vent (not sure what this vent is for) which is even with your right hand (on dash), when it is in the 3 o'clock position on the steering wheel. It sounds like a tiny propeller, or fan, I guess would be the best way to describe it. It seems to be running continually. Anyone have any ideas?
I also notice that when I park and turn the ingnition off, there is a slight ticking. My mom's old Honda Civic made the exact same noise.... a metallic pinging or ticking, once the engine is shut off.
Thoughts? Much appreciated.

GB, the propeller noise that you are hearing from the dash is part of the A/C system. You must have the auto temp controller. There is a little fan there that is pulling in the cabin air to see what its temp is so it can adjust the flappers to maintain the desired temp. That noise is normal.
The other noise that you are hearing is also normal. It is the fuel pressure regulator bleeding off as I recall. Again, don't worry about the noise. IT is normal for the vehicle.
