Wheel Arch Trim & Fender badges

Wheel Arch Trim & Fender badges
My Silver X-type has paint flaking peeling along the wheel arches. Not sure I want to spend the money get them repainted, so I found this:
Wheel Arch Trims
Which seems to be a cheap way to cover up the flaking paint and add a nice accent. Since I have smoked markers, I've gotten the black upper mesh grille insert, and am planning on getting the lower black mesh insert, I figured getting the black wheel arch trim might just work.
Anyone have experience with this stuff? Opinions, comments, suggestions?
And while I'm at it, I plan to 'steal' the Xj6/XJ12 leaping jag fender badges (New Jaguar XJ6 XJ12 Series III Fender Badge Set BEC9656 BEC9657 | eBay) and put them above my marker lights. Again, comments/opinions?

Wheel arch trims are a great looking upgrade.
a word of caution though. I had some on my truck and they looked great but they do hold road dirt and water (mud) against the body so your arches will rot out very quickly without you noticing, and will be a nightmare to repair.
I would strongly recommend repairing the paint as good as possible see how it looks and then add these to cover up any imperfection at least you will have good paint under them to protect the metal.
