Default Wheel speed sensor damaged

So I was hoping to do a simple job and replace the sensor, but to no avail the sensor had been rusted to the hub so bad that it snapped off.

So my question being, is the only way to remove the rest of it by taking the entire hub assembly off? Or is there another way to get around this?

Fezz, you could try drilling it out, but I think you are going to find that it is going to leave a lot of chucks and whatnot behind. So, unfortunately, you are probably on the right road with having to pull the hub so you can get at the sensor from the inside and push it out that way.

So I took the car to the mechanics to get some work done, and I told him to check out the sensor as it still had the abs lights on after I changed it.

He told me that it wasn't the sensor, but it was probably a magnetic foil that sits in the hole of the hub, and it seems that foil is starting to wear.

Do any of you guys know what he's talking about, or where I can buy this piece?
