Hello! First post here. I have been having issues with my blower not running at all and I think I diagnosed it to the blower motor resistor. I just got the resistor from the parts store and went to put it in but for the life of me I cannot find where it is. The service manual shows it being by the blower motor but I have searched high and low and do not see it. I even followed the wiring from the blower motor every which way to see where it connects to the resistor but I am still unsuccessful. If anyone can point me to it's location I would be greatly appreciative.
I looked at this short video on motor location and it appears to me, looking at the resistor part, that on the bottom of the motor it's located there (the green rectangular thing)?

Hi Dell, Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I had already reviewed all of the links you provided and none of them are actually helpful in determining the location of the resistor. I used the first link to determine that it was the resistor as the fuse, relay, and motor all checked out. The youtube video does a good job of showing the motor but that green item on the motor housing is just a sticker with the part number etc. Mine has the same one. I feel like I've looked everywhere under by the motor and have only found servo's and the harnesses to the computer.
I figured that I would try and help you out but I just went outside and looked at mine. Also 2002 and mine isn’t where the diagram Dell posted said it was either. I looked all over and don’t see it either. The only thought that I could give you is looking on top of the heater box section that is behind the radio. Usually it is always placed in direct path of the fan before any doors where the air from the fan could be diverted away from it because the fan is what keeps the resistor from burning up. So behind the radio is the only place that I can think of
Well I was just doing some more checking and the cars without AUTO temperature control has the same part that dell posted about but I also just found this
Don't forget that the fan in the full auto Climate Control system has no resistor arrangement; its speed is controlled electronically by the CC Module .
The manual air conditioning system does have a resistor speed control system.
The fans from the two systems are not interchangeable
