Help with Blower Motor Driver Side
[size=2]I have a two-part problem. I have a 1995 XJS Convertible The first thing is my blower motor on the driver’s side for my air is not turning off. Even when the key is off the blower keeps blowing and runs down the battery. I heard that there is a relay in the motor that I can replace that could be the problem. Does anyone have any other suggestions or know if this is true before I have to spend $800. on a new blower motor?
I am trying to get my Blower Motor out and I have taken out all the bolts that I can see but it is not dropping down. Can anyone tell me what is holding this thing up?
Many thanks,
Steve

Blower Motor
Hello Steve,
I'm currently working with the same problem. I wrote a question on how to rebuild my blower motor. Find the thread under the XJ-S forum, How to rebuild a blower motor. The responders provide two excellent sites that discuss the approach to repairing blower motors. I would read both. They give you the exact parts needed and the parts numbers. Give me a wire on my e-mail address and I'll explain how to get the motor out. I just did the right side and will probably have to do the left side. The motors cost approximately $600 new and $400 rebuilt. Way too much money since the repairs cost a few dollars of parts.
Thanks,
Jorge @ jcuba53@hotmail.com
