Angry Wheres my light ?

I was looking in the boot/trunk the other night - only to find myself in darkness.
(must be a blown bulb - I thought)
Next day... I went to look for the pesky bulb - to get a replacement organised.

SHOCK HORROR.... I cannot find it...?

Did Jaguar make a vehicle - with no Boot light ????

Being Still in the dark - all help will be appreciated

Regards,
Larry

facing the boot, mine (non NAV equipped) is on the right hand side about 40 cm or 16 inches in towards the back seat

Thank you .....for your time and your response.

What I found in the proximity you gave me was;

A rectangular shaped cut-out in upper side of boot-lining (empty)
and behind that hole (tucked-inside) was a two pin connector.

Putting a test lamp to the connector and operating the boot-lid
indeed proved it was the intended 12v supply - for the boot light.

However, the actual light unit is missing (fell out I guess) and was
forgotten about - by the previous owner.

Again.... thank you for shedding vital light - to my dilemma

Now all I got to do is go shopping for an aftermarket light fitting.

Best Regards,
Larry
