Unhappy Whirring Noise Mystery

Hi All,

My 2006 X type 3.0 estate has recently developed a loud tractor like whirring noise, worst at about 50-60mph I replaced all the wheel bearings(they needed doing anyway), the front axles, and then the dreaded transfer box for a part from a right off. but it hasn't made the tractor like noise go away. Now I'm stumped. Am I missing something obvious? Side note a friend of mine checked the diffs and said that they weren't making any noise, and said that the transfer case was running super quite, with a little but not unexpected amount of noise from the transmission. car has done 77k miles. Thanks in advance.
