Are the brakes fully releasing, is there any brake drag? Normally you would just jack up the wheel and make sure it spins freely; however, you can't do that with the four wheel drive set-up. If they are sticking (or not releasing) you would definitely smell something after a drive. Or......maybe the handbrake (ebrake) is too tight!?

nope the breaks aren't sticking. i believed they where when i first got it because when you back up the car at first it makes noise but it seems to be normal now.

i just got a tune up with new plugs and now i get 2 miles to the gallon less than i did before :-)

Maybe this was covered and I missed it but are you getting 12.4 according to the readout on the trip computer or are you actually filling up, zero-ing trip odometer, driving 100 miles, and running out of gas or are you topping it off after 100 miles and dividing the quantity purchased into the miles driven? What if the computer had wrong data or was mis-informing you? In other words, how do you know what you think you know?
