Hey Guys,
I am thinking of tinting my windows, i called a guy and he said that the metallized tint could cause and interferance with my navigation system. I have the stock nav system and i am wondering if anyone has had to deal with this before. Does it really cause an interferance? and if so how bad would it be. also where is the nav antenna located?

It can cause issues. It can also cause issues with your radio reception. GPS antenna is on the rear parcel shelf, IIRC.

 

yes it will interfere, get ceramic tint instead as it has better heat protection too.

My AM/FM reception went to poop after my tint was installed. I used a security film so it has a higher metal content than standard tint.

 

well i guess im going with the non metallic tint. thanks for the help guys, i will post some pics after its done!
