Default Wiring up overhead console with Homelink in place of standard one - anyone done this?

Hi all,

I have a Homelink equipped overhead console and want to replace my non-homelink unit. I've had the standard one out and the plugs/harnesses are completely different. Has anyone been successfull in doing this conversion? If not, I'll try to figure out what all of the pins are doing and map it to the new console, but it sounds like about 3-4 hours I'd prefer to save (just to get rid of my garage door remote in the door panel pocket) .

Thanks,
Jeremy

Jeremy,
Did you find your answer to wiring up the homelink system to the base model? I just purchased the same thing and hoping to link it into my system. I have to get with the guy I purchased the console from and see if he'll cut off the pigtail for me...

Haha. So, looks like nobody could retrofit the homelink unit to his non-homelink one
